Jomarah DeShong is a Paralegal at OneTec Family Law. She is new to Oregon, recently moving here from Brooklyn, New York. In New York, Jomarah graduated with a BA in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York, Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy. She additionally holds an ABA approved Paralegal Studies Certificate. After college and certification, she assisted Legal Hand Crown Heights in providing free legal information to underpriveledged families and community members, interned at the Nassau County Attorney’s Office, worked as a Community Liason for the 46th Assembly District of the New York State Assembly, then worked as a paralegal in Brooklyn, New York prior to moving to Oregon and joining OneTec Family Law. She enjoys working closely with clients to help make the journey through the family law system as easy and understandable as possible.
McKenzie Stein is a Paralegal at OneTec Family Law. Originally from Washington State, she has called Oregon home for the last 9 years. In Washington, McKenzie graduated with a BA in Criminal Sociology and a minor in Human Development from Washington State University. She additionally holds an ABA approved Paralegal Studies Certificate from University of Washington. After college and certification, she worked and volunteered at a diverse group of legal service providers, including the Pierce County Juvenile Court, Pierce County Public Defense, King County Public Defense as a Mitigation Specialist and Paralegal, the Oregon Department of Justice, and Oregon based private family law firms. After time at home with her two young children, McKenzie is both experienced and enthusiastic about joining the OneTec Family Law team and helping clients in family law cases navigate what lies ahead.
